TurtleSpot provides internet connectivity through WiFi and DSL. All services are subject to the Terms & Conditions and the Acceptible Use Policy displayed in this section of the website.

WiFi or wireless internet coverage is available in several resorts and residential areas on Koh Tao. Residents can sign up for a permanent connection, without the need for prepaid cards.

TurtleSpot provides DSL connections over telephone cabling. A new physical line is installed to all subscribers, eliminating all digital noise from old telephone lines.

ADSL2+ is the new adsl standard, now available in Sairee. Our equipment also supports the standard ADSL modems.

G.SHDSL is available from exchanges in Sairee, Mae Haad and Chalok Ban Kao. The required routers are provided and maintained by TurtleSpot. The equipment remains property of TurtleSpot.
VPN services are available anywhere on the island, with synchronous bandwidth from 192kbps up to 4.6Mbps.

The most asked question: what speed do I get?
Since internet is a shared medium, there simply is no final answer to that. We can quote maximum speeds, actual speeds will depend on the usage of our internet connections.
Besides this, TurtleSpot shapes data traffic, assigning higher priority to e.g. skype and the lowest priority to peer2peer traffic. This shaped traffic is sent out over several internet connections.
